You can break your penis?

 You can break your penis?

Penile fractureWhat do you think is the most embarrassing kind of injury? We thought long and hard and decided it has to be a penile fracture. Well you can’t literally break it because it doesn’t have a bone, but it can rupture. This freakish bedroom injury is most likely to occur during bouts of vigorous sex usually in the woman on top, reverse cowgirl or the rear entry position. It happens if the penis bends too much at the base which occurs either when the female partner comes down on the penis at the wrong angle or if she bends too forward or backward.
There actually was a case where a man sued his ex-girlfriend for reckless behaviour after suffering a penile fracture! Thankfully the court ruled in her favour deciding her behaviour was neither legally wanton (caused due to negligence) nor reckless.
How do I know if I get one?
Oh you will know. The initial symptoms will be intense pain, a cracking sound and immediately losing one’s erection. There is also significant darkening of the skin due to a haematoma – a term used to describe the collection of blood in any particular space other than a blood vessel which is similar to a bruise in layman’s language.
It’s vital to remember that embarrassing as it might be, a penile fracture is a medical emergency and you should immediately rush to a hospital and tell your doctor exactly what happened and not lie about it. Do not try to ride it off, because if left untreated it can lead to impotence and you need surgery to fix it. And add to this, there was a study that showed that men who were having affairs were likelier to suffer from them! In 2011, Dr Andrew Kramer, a urologist and assistant professor of surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Centre studied 16 cases of penile fractures between 2007 and 2011 and found half of them were patients who broke their penises during extramarital affairs. Another reason to stick to fidelity we think.
